"You are invited to conjure the magic of the Harry Potter™ audiobook series as part of your Spotify Premium subscription." With that Hogwarts letter tone, Spotify announced this July 1, 2026 an agreement with Pottermore Publishing to bring classic audiobooks in English to the app. It is the first time that the entire saga is available on Spotify.
What it includes and who narrates
Premium subscribers in the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and the rest of Europe can now listen to J.K.'s seven books. Rowling in its original audiobook version:
- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone / Philosopher's Stone
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Narration is provided by Stephen Fry in all launch markets. In North America (USA and Canada) the version by Jim Dale is also available, another iconic voice for those who grew up with the American edition. According to Deadline, these recordings have been in circulation since 1999 and on Audible since 2015, with more than 1.8 billion hours of accumulated listening.
This is an iconic series of books, narrated by two legends, and loved by generations of fans around the world.

Supplementary titles and soundtracks
In addition to the heptalogy, Spotify adds several books from the expanded universe in select markets:
- The Tales of Beedle the Bard — cast with Jude Law, Noma Dumezweni and Bonnie Wright
- Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them — narrated by Eddie Redmayne
- Quidditch Through the Ages — narrated by Andrew Lincoln
The platform remembers that the official soundtracks of the films are already on Spotify, so the app is positioned as "the best place to fully immerse yourself in the magical world", in Bruce's words: audiobooks, spin-offs, music and podcasts in a single ecosystem.
How to listen to them?
Spotify indicates that the journey can begin with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (or Philosopher's Stone depending on the market). Simply search for the saga in the app with an active Premium account; There is no need to purchase each title separately as in Audible credit models. The direct search is at open.spotify.com.
Latin America and other markets
The statement does not mention Mexico, Latin America or Spanish-speaking markets outside Europe. If your account is registered in a country not included in the list, the audiobooks may not yet appear in your catalog. It is a good idea to check the account region in Settings before searching for the saga.
Context: HBO, Audible and the Potter phenomenon
The movement comes months before the premiere of the new Harry Potter series on HBO (scheduled for December 2026) and in the midst of a platform war for listening time. Spotify has been expanding audiobooks in Premium for years; Adding the most read franchise of the century makes the offer a magnet for subscriptions compared to Audible, which recently launched an alternative full cast adaptation of the saga.
Almost three decades after her literary debut, Rowling continues to be a global audience driver. For long-time fans and those discovering the story now, Fry and Dale offer the most classic experience; For those looking for new voices, Audible maintains its parallel bet. In Spotify, the bet is clear: nostalgia, comfort and the entire universe in a single app.
