In 2026 there are six main ways to play without depending only on a physical disc: subscriptions with a closed catalog (Xbox Game Pass, Amazon Luna, Netflix Games), streaming of games you already own (NVIDIA GeForce NOW), digital stores with their own library (Steam, Epic Games Store) and home streaming from your PC (Steam Remote Play). They are not equivalent: some include hundreds of titles; others only lend GPUs in the cloud; Netflix mixes mobile downloads with a cloud beta on TV. This guide compiles official prices, catalog size, platforms, languages, graphic quality and data consumption so you can choose wisely — especially if you play with 4G/5G or limited Wi-Fi.
Quick comparison table
| Service | Model | Price/month | Approximate catalogue | Max. cloud | Data/h (cloud) |

1. Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud)

Xbox Game Pass is Microsoft's subscription. Following the October 2025 restructuring and April 2026 price cut (Xbox Wire), there are four plans in the US:
- Essential — $9.99/month: ~50 curated games, console multiplayer, no day-one or full cloud.
- Premium — $14.99/month: 200+ games, Xbox titles in ~12 months, cloud access.
- PC Game Pass — $13.99/month (was $16.49): hundreds of PC games, day-one from Xbox studios, basic cloud.
- Ultimate — $22.99/month (previously $29.99): 500+ games on console and PC, day-one from Bethesda and Xbox Game Studios (Call of Duty no longer day-one: it arrives ~1 year later), EA Play, Ubisoft+ Classics, Fortnite Crew, online multiplayer and unlimited Xbox Cloud Gaming with the best quality of streaming.
How the cloud works
Xbox Cloud Gaming does not require a console: the game runs on Microsoft servers and you receive video in real time. You can play the Game Pass catalog or, starting in 2024 in beta, “Stream Your Own Game” — digital titles you own on Xbox (more than 1,000 in June 2026). The feature is available in all 28 countries with xCloud and in all three cloud subscription tiers.
Platforms and devices
- PC (Xbox app or Edge/Chrome browser)
- Android (Xbox app)
- iPhone/iPad (Safari)
- Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
- Smart TV: Samsung, LG, Amazon Fire TV
- Meta Quest 2, Pro, 3 and 3S
- Controls: Xbox, Bluetooth compatible or touch on mobile
Graphics, speed and data
- Maximum resolution: 1080p at 60 fps (Ultimate has queue priority and better bitrate).
- Recommended speed: 10 Mbps mobile, 20 Mbps console/PC/tablet; 5 GHz Wi-Fi or stable mobile data.
- Data consumption: indicative 3–14 GB per hour depending on stream quality and title (3D action at maximum bitrate is close to the ceiling).
- Latency: sensitive to distance to the data center; Ethernet cable or 5 GHz improves response.
Languages
It depends on each game in the catalog. First-party Xbox titles typically include Spanish (Spain and LATAM), English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and more. The Xbox app interface follows the system language.
2. NVIDIA GeForce NOW
Video: GeForce NOW on Steam Deck

GeForce NOW is the NVIDIA service that provides you with a virtual PC with GeForce GPU. Does not sell games: you must own them on Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect, GOG, EA App or Xbox PC (Game Pass). Compatibility exceeds 5,000 titles according to the official catalog.
Prices (US)
- Free — $0: 1 hour sessions, 1080p on basic rig, queue with wait (~2 min), with ads.
- Performance — $9.99/month: RTX, up to 1440p 60 fps, ray tracing, 6h sessions, priority (~1 min wait).
- Ultimate — $19.99/month: RTX 5080 rigs, up to 4K HDR 120 fps (or 1080p 360 fps, 5K on supported displays), DLSS 4, 8-hour sessions, minimal wait. There are also day passes.
Platforms
Windows, macOS, Linux (native app 2026), Chromebook, Android, iOS (Safari), NVIDIA Shield TV, Samsung/LG smart TV, Amazon Fire TV, Steam Deck (native app), Chromium browsers and, from March 2026, VR (Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest) up to 90 fps.
Graphics, speed and data
- Free / Performance: 1080p 60 fps — minimum 25 Mbps recommended.
- Ultimate 4K 120 fps: minimum 45 Mbps; NVIDIA recommends 65 Mbps for 5K and 100 Mbps for "Cinematic Quality."
- Upload: only 2–5 Mbps (controls and voice).
- Data per hour: 6–10 GB (1080p) · 15–22 GB (1440p 120 fps) · 20–30 GB (4K 120 fps HDR). Intensive use can exceed 2 TB/month.
- Latency: target <80 ms to nearest datacenter.
Languages
The GeForce NOW app is in more than 20 languages (Spanish included). The games retain the language of the source store (Steam/Epic/etc.).
3. Amazon Moon
Video: Amazon Luna — official presentation

Amazon Luna is Amazon's cloud gaming, integrated into the Prime ecosystem. In June 2026 it undergoes an important turn: since April it eliminated third-party stores (EA, Ubisoft, GOG) and individual purchases; On June 10 it stops playing individually purchased games and on June 3 it closes "Bring Your Own Library." The current model is only subscription with curated catalog.
Prices
- Luna with Prime — included in Amazon Prime ($14.99/month or $139/year in the US): rotation of ~50–70 games (Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones, etc., depending on the season).
- Luna Premium — $9.99/month additional: expanded library (Death Stranding, FC 25, Batman: Arkham Knight, Sonic Frontiers…).
- GameNight — board/party games (Jackbox, Clue) included in Prime; Luna Couch allows you to invite friends without your own subscription.
Platforms and regions
Fire TV, Fire tablets, PC/Mac (browser), Chromebook, Samsung and LG TV (Luna app), mobile web. Available in 14 countries (US, UK, Canada, select EU). Prime in other territories only offers monthly downloadable PC games via Luna.
Graphics, speed and data
- Resolution: up to 1080p 60 fps (without 4K or 120 fps even in Premium).
- Speed: minimum 10 Mbps sustained; 20 Mbps recommended for stable 1080p.
- Data: ~10 GB/hour in 1080p (similar to high-quality HD video with low latency).
Languages
Luna interface in English and local Amazon markets. The games follow each publisher's audio/subtitles (many AAA include Spanish).
4. Netflix Games
Video: upcoming games on Netflix

Netflix Games is not a traditional store: the games are included in your Netflix subscription (at no extra charge, without ads or microtransactions). The catalog is around 90 mobile titles in 2026 (Civilization VI, GTA III, Red Dead Redemption mobile, Street Fighter IV CE, Squid Game: Unleashed, etc.), with frequent additions and declines.
Price
There is no separate fee - it is part of the Netflix plan (Standard with ads ~$7, Standard ~$17, Premium ~$23 in the US; varies by country). Not available in children's profiles.
Two game modes
- Mobile (main): you download the game from the Netflix app or App Store/Play Store. Requires Android 8+ / iOS 15+ (Android 9 / iOS 17 recommended). Occupies local storage; You only need internet for the initial download and saved in the cloud.
- TV and PC (beta): streaming in Chrome/Edge browser or app on compatible TVs in ~20 countries. Requires 10 Mbps, mobile as a remote control (QR). Consumption similar to streaming video while playing.
Platforms
- Android and iPhone/iPad (download)
- TV and PC (cloud beta in select countries: US, Spain, Mexico, UK, etc.)
- There is no native app on Xbox/PlayStation/Switch consoles
Mobile graphics and data
- Mobile: native device graphics (from pixel art to AAA ports like RDR). Data consumption occurs when downloading (can be several GB per game); In offline play you do not spend data.
- Cloud beta TV: continuous streaming ~3–8 GB/h depending on quality, comparable to Netflix 1080p video.
Languages
The Netflix app and support are in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and more. Each game has its own audio/text languages.
5. Steam (store, Steam Deck and Remote Play)

Steam is not a catalog subscription: it is the largest PC store in the world (100,000+ products). You pay per game, with seasonal offers. In 2026 it will coexist with its own hardware and home streaming — different from commercial cloud gaming.
Components of the ecosystem
- Steam Store — digital purchase, permanent library (except publisher server closures), Workshop, Remote Play Together.
- Steam Deck — portable Linux console from ~$399; Play your local library or via GeForce NOW.
- Steam Machine (2026) — PC-home console from $1,049 with SteamOS.
- Steam Link / Remote Play — you stream from your PC at home to your mobile, tablet, TV or another PC. Does not use Valve servers in the cloud.
Price
The Steam account is free. You pay for games, DLC and hardware. There is no mandatory monthly fee.
Remote Play: speed and data
- Minimum: 10 Mbps (720p); Valve suggests 10–30 Mbps for 1080p 60fps with multiplayer.
- Optimal: 25–40 Mbps or more; June 2026 update allows up to 250 Mbps in adaptive mode (beta).
- Data: ~10–35 GB/h in 1080p depending on bitrate; you control the limit in Remote Play settings.
- Host PC upload: critical — Ethernet on host is recommended.
Languages
The Steam client is translated into 28+ languages (Spanish from Spain and LATAM). Each game sheet lists interface, audio and subtitle languages.
6. Epic Games Store

Epic Games Store is a digital store for PC (and some titles on Android/iOS). It does not have its own cloud gaming service, but your Epic games are compatible with GeForce NOW and, in some cases, Xbox Cloud (if they are on Game Pass PC).
Price and catalogue
- Account: free.
- Weekly free games — when you claim them, they are yours with no expiration date.
- Epic First Run — some indies with 100% revenue for the studio for the first six months.
- Catalog: thousands of titles; There is no "all-inclusive" subscription like Game Pass.
Platforms
Windows and macOS (Epic launcher). Mobile limited to specific games (Fortnite, Rocket League Sideswipe...). On consoles there is no native Epic Store.
Graphs and data
As it is a local download on PC, the graphics depend on your hardware. To play in the cloud without a powerful PC, link your Epic account to GeForce NOW (same network requirements as in section 2). A AAA download can consume 50–150 GB at a time.
Languages
Launcher in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. The games respect the languages declared by the developer.
Mobile data consumption: practical table
| Service / mode | 1 hour approx. | 10 h/month | Advice |
|---|---|---|---|
| Xbox Cloud (medium quality) | 5–8 GB | 50–80 GB | Activate data saving in the Xbox app |
| Xbox Cloud (highest quality) | 10–14 GB | 100–140 GB | Wi-Fi only or unlimited plan |
| GeForce NOW 1080p | 6–10 GB | 60–100 GB | Adjust bitrate in GFN settings |
| GeForce NOW 4K Ultimate | 20–30 GB | 200–300 GB | Unlimited fiber or 5G essential |
| Amazon Luna 1080p | ~10 GB | ~100 GB | Fire TV with Ethernet if possible |
| Netflix Games (download) | 0 GB in game | Variable* | Download on Wi-Fi; play offline |
| Netflix Games (beta TV) | 4–8 GB | 40–80 GB | Beta; fixed quality |
| Steam Remote Play 1080p | 10–20 GB | 100–200 GB | Lower bitrate if you use 4G |
* The initial download of a mobile game can be 1–8 GB at a time.
Which one to choose?
- I want many games for a fee and play on my mobile without a PC: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate ($22.99) or Luna if you already have Prime.
- I already have a library on Steam/Epic and I want maximum graphics without hardware: GeForce NOW Ultimate ($19.99).
- I only play on mobile and I already pay for Netflix: Netflix Games — try the catalog before subscribing for the games.
- I want to own my games and I have a PC at home: Steam or Epic; Remote Play if you stream to the couch.
- Family / party games on TV: Luna (GameNight + Luna Couch) or Netflix party on beta TV.
- Limited mobile data: avoid 4K on GFN; download Netflix games on Wi-Fi; use Steam Remote Play only at home.
In summary
The six services respond to different models: subscription with catalog (Game Pass, Luna, Netflix), GPU in the cloud for games you already own (GeForce NOW) and digital purchase with its own library (Steam, Epic). In June 2026, US reference prices are Game Pass Ultimate at $22.99, GeForce NOW Ultimate at $19.99, Luna Premium at $9.99 (plus Prime), and Netflix Games included in your plan. Cloud graphics quality is led by GeForce NOW (4K 120 fps); xCloud and Luna stay at 1080p 60 fps. Data consumption ranges from almost zero (Netflix mobile offline) to 30 GB/h (GFN 4K). Always check availability in your country before subscribing.
