The FBI added Fahad Mohamed Nur to its "Most Wanted Fraudsters" list, accusing him of having embezzled more than $5 million from the federal child nutrition program during the COVID-19 pandemic — money intended to feed children in Minnesota. According to the bureau, Nur owns a food supplier who submitted false invoices and laundered the funds. He has been a fugitive since 2022 and could be in Somalia. The news was advanced by Fox News on X and confirmed in fbi.gov.
Why is the FBI looking for him?
The official FBI poster describes Nur as an alleged participant in a massive fraud linked to Feeding Our Future, the NGO sponsor at the center of Minnesota's largest pandemic fraud case (~$250 million, according to the Department of Justice).
Nur was the principal of The Produce LLC, a food supplier that received more than $5 million in fraudulent funds from the Federal Child Nutrition Program. The FBI claims he submitted fictitious invoices for food he never delivered and kept the money obtained through those invoices.

The federal arrest warrant was issued on September 13, 2022 in the US District Court for the District of Minnesota (Minneapolis), according to the FBI profile. Nur has been on the run since 2022; Media such as CBS Minnesota cite the allegation that he left the US shortly after the FBI made the investigation public in January 2022.
Context: Feeding Our Future
The Feeding Our Future scheme is, according to federal prosecutors, the largest pandemic relief fraud in the country: dozens of defendants, hundreds of millions in school meal program funds and sponsors who allegedly inflated numbers of meals served. In May 2026, founder Aimee Bock was sentenced to more than 41 years in prison, according to FOX 9 and CBS Minnesota.
Nur is at least the second defendant in that scheme on the "Most Wanted Fraudsters" list, after Said Abdullahi Ereg, who turned himself in to the FBI at the Minneapolis-St. Paul after appearing on the list, according to FOX 9.
